Description

A Victorian tea-wrapping sheet for G. Cousens, “Tea Dealer, Grocer & Provision Merchant,” printed with a central illustration of the Wimbledon premises and the caption “OPPOSITE THE STATION, WIMBLEDON.” Surrounding banners list typical grocery lines (including foreign wines & spirits, sauces, pickles and similar provisions), while horse-drawn carts animate the street scene.

Such wrappers were disposable point-of-sale packaging, making intact examples comparatively rare.
