Description
A BEA Airspeed Ambassador flies above a clouded map of Europe, with the red “fly BEA” logo and large “ELIZABETHAN” headline listing Amsterdam, Birmingham, Brussels, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Hanover, London, Malta, Manchester, Nice, Paris and Rome.
The Elizabethan name was used by British European Airways for its pressurised Airspeed Ambassador service after Queen Elizabeth II’s accession.
Colour lithographic or offset travel poster, linen-backed. The poster shows edge tears, foxing, vertical fold wear, scuffing, staining and local restoration; further conservation would improve presentation.
