Description
This Dutch Reynolds poster shows a blonde woman lying prone as she writes a note, her red skirt and teal blouse set against a pale ground beneath the looping script “Dolly..”. The line “met haar Reynolds” means “with her Reynolds,” and “de inktpatroon met de meeste inkt” translates as “the ink cartridge with the most ink.”
Likely made for the Dutch market in 1955, it belongs to the post-war wave of writing-instrument advertising that sold ease, cleanliness and modern convenience to office and home users.
Signed J. Bousquet at lower left, the design uses soft airbrushed modelling, broad shadowing and large brand typography typical of mid-century commercial display work.
