Description

A large cluster of grapes fills the left side while a dark bottle stands at right, joined by a sweeping arrow between the words “That’s” and “That.” The message reduces Gilbey’s Invalid Port to a direct fruit-to-bottle promise.

Gilbey’s marketed Invalid Port as a restorative tonic wine, a familiar British drinks category in the interwar years.

Printed by McCorquodale in London, the poster uses crisp block lettering, realistic grape modelling and a pale ground for strong shop-display impact. The linen-backed sheet shows edge tears and creases from use, but remains visually bold.
