Description
A whimsical beach figure assembled from sweets and fruit strides across the sand in chocolate-bar shoes beneath a striped parasol. The Dutch line “Lekker opgefrist door zuurtjes van Gramin” translates as “Pleasantly refreshed by Gramin sour sweets.”
This is a Dutch confectionery poster, from the 1950s, promoting acid drops or fruit-flavoured sweets through a light, summery image.
The design uses smooth airbrushed modelling, candy-bright colour and a playful surreal montage typical of mid-century commercial display printing. Linen backing and minor repairs to the upper edge have stabilised a poster that still presents cleanly.
