Description

A vivid Dutch advertising poster for Offsetdrukkerij Intenso of Amsterdam. A brilliantly coloured spinning top dominates the composition, encircled by the firm’s services: posters, folders, packaging and offset-printed showcards. The slogan “Laat Intenso meedraaien!” plays on the rotating toy to invite customers to put Intenso’s presses to work.

François ten Have combines airbrushed modelling, sweeping typography and saturated colour against a graduated blue background. The dynamic composition is a strong example of post-war Dutch commercial design and an engaging celebration of the printing trade.
